California Department of Health Care Services
The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is the backbone of California’s health care safety net. DHCS has granted $1.9 million to ensure thousands of low-income individuals and families get affordable health coverage, medical and behavioral health services, and help with navigating the complex health care system.
With support from the state department, Sacramento Covered is providing individuals with culturally-competent and linguistically-appropriate assistance to:
- Enroll into Medi-Cal
- Access primary care services
- Help to use their coverage
- Keep their coverage year after year
- And more, including outreach and education.
