Our COVID-19 Response

We are still here to support your health, wellbeing and safety.

The dramatic spread of COVID-19 has disrupted lives, communities and businesses. We are here to support you during this difficult time.

Free Over-The-Phone Assistance

We are now providing our in-person health navigation services telephonically. We can help anyone over the phone with:

  • Applying for health coverage
  • Finding a doctor
  • Getting transportation to appointments
  • Getting food assistance
  • And more to get you the resources you need

We are available Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Call (916) 414-8333.

Supporting The Most Vulnerable

At the onset of the crisis, we moved quickly to meet the health and basic needs of those who couldn’t shelter in place.

Although some of our services are now provided telephonically, our work with Health Homes and Pathways to Health + Home continues to operate normally. We have also introduced additional support to ensure individuals experiencing homelessness can still get the health, behavioral health and housing support they need.

Our team is in the field, on the ground, every day to:

  • Continue working with clients in achieving long-term housing stability
  • Coordinate e-consult telehealth for unsheltered clients in need of care
  • Support with SSI claims/applications
  • Deliver supplies to homeless service providers
  • And provide safety provisions to homeless encampments

Community Kitchen Project

In an innovative approach to prevent an outbreak among the most vulnerable in the community, we also partnered with Solomon’s Delicatessen, who initially had to close down because of the pandemic. Our partnership transformed the local restaurant into a community kitchen to make and deliver meals daily to our most medically fragile clients — both unsheltered and newly housed.

Within 10 weeks of the project, we delivered over 21,000 fresh meals. This Community Kitchen Project was made possible by our generous donors:

  • Dignity Health
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Sutter Health
  • The California Endowment
  • UC Davis Health
  • Union Pacific
